The FBI executed a search warrant today at President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, the former president confirms to CNN in a lengthy statement.

If you want to see Trump's panicked statement, you can easily find it - I'm not going to link it.
Just a reminder that the FBI doesn't just pull search warrants out of a hat. Somebody — somebody at Justice — had to appear before a federal judge, and present sufficient evidence that something related to a suspected crime was at Mar-A-Lago, that the judge agreed a search warrant was... warranted.
Federal judges don't do this lightly — and in a case of a target as high-profile as Trump, they tend to have a very high bar before they'll grant a search warrant - both that "something" is likely there, and that the target would likely not relinquish that "something" if it were simply subpoenaed.
It will be interesting to see who the federal judge in this case was.
Some reporters have apparently received information that the search was related to the 15 boxes of documents (some classified) that Trump removed to Mar-A-Lago from the White House. That said, in the course of a warranted search, anything that is found that relates to any crimes is fair game.
It just got very real for Donald John Trump.
