I wouldn't expect a Senate conviction, although I obviously believe it's warranted.
That said... Any Republican Senator who has called upon Trump to resign, or who has called for a 25th Amendment intervention, should vote to convict and remove Trump - because they've already taken the position that he needs to go ASAP. So, I would like to see the House adopt a new Article of Impeachment, and the Senators the opportunity (or the responsibility, if you prefer) to be on record.
Enough is enough. Trump has deliberately incited insurrection. He continues to lie about the election, continues to incite trouble. He's been somewhat defanged (temporarily, I fear) by Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, but he needs to be removed from power. It would also help if he's impeached, convicted, and precluded from ever seeking public office again - if for no other reason than that it would kill his ability to defraud his supporters with assorted "campaign" fundraising scams.
