I mean, they ended a formal contract with Driveline but they haven't actually cut ties with any of the Driveline-connected people. Our minor league hitting instructor is still the same guy, and still works for Driveline. Our major league pitching coach and minor league pitching coordinator are both also part of the family tree. And the newer pitching hire (assistant in the majors and overseeing the minors) obviously comes from a similar mindset, just a competing company (Cressey).
This particular guy seems like he's probably just a very young analystics person who did an internship or fellowship at Driveline.
