Yes. And watch how many Trump voters - how many "decent Americans" - now wring their hands, and offer "thoughts and prayers," but demand no real action, as the deplorable subset of Trump voters goes around assaulting people, setting them on fire (In Louisiana today), etc. I don't know if it's denial, or selfishness, or stupidity, or what...but we appear to be rapidly heading toward a time when "terrorism" is what is practiced by aggrieved white Americans against those of our citizens they perceive as "other." It's an open question whether Donald Trump will care enough to try to do anything about it; it's fairly certain that his "strategic advisor," Steve Bannon, will not - he's been promoting white supremacy for years.
It's possible that I'm over-reacting here, and all this is just a blip. But it's also possible that I'm not, and that we're seeing a "new normal," where hate rules the day.
If you voted for Donald Trump...please, can the ethno-nationalist rhetoric. No more of it. No race-baiting, no ranting about "illegals," no paranoia about Muslims. It hasn't appeared here, thankfully - but even around your own dinner tables, around your Thanksgiving table, etc.... do not preach or encourage hatreds. Call them out, demand accountability. We ALL have to demand better, or we will end up with "least common denominator" results - and that will be very, very ugly.
