Paul Darrow, cult favourite in Blake's 7, dies aged 78. He played my favourite character in my favourite SciFi series from the late 1970s - early '80s. In true BBC tradition, it had a ridiculously low budget; however, the dialogue was great. The character Avon - played by Darrow - had a particularly caustic wit and the exchanges with Villa (Michael Keating) were memorable for fans of the show.

Sadly Tyler Skaggs has passed away
I will be at the game on July 4th that Skaggs was projected to start. Our local news said that foul play was not suspected. I have eaten lunch a few times at that Hilton where he passed away. It really hits home that we never know how much time we have in this life. Extremely sad to see this young man gone so young.

Texas billionaire H. Ross Perot dies at 89
I'm more surprised that Ross Perot wasn't 89 when he ran for president.
Now, if only all the other multimillionaire egomaniacs who have decided, with no relevant experience, that they should be President of the United States, would just drop dead, the world would be a better place. If only.
Geez, Steyer just announced yesterday and you're already flaming his butt. Doesn't take long to earn your wrath.
Silly post that belongs in the Political Thread not here. Wishing for the standing President and others to die is beneath you.
He doesn't mean really dead, just that their presidential/political aspirations should die.
I read the Ken Follett 'non fiction' book On Wings of Eagles that featured Ross Perot before I knew what he looked like and he sounded like a combination of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Harrison Ford. Wonder if he paid Follett to write it.
