So an ESPN reporter, on her own time, said something "nasty" about Donald Trump - something that just happens to be the truth, as far as anybody can tell. E.g., he's a racist bigot.
Why do I say this appears to be true? Well:
1) This man (and his father) were charged by the federal government with racial discrimination in housing. They signed a consent decree to stop redlining African Americans... and now Trump tries to claim that "nothing was proved." That's horse hockey, to anybody that's not an idiot.
2) This man got into all sorts of hot water for his comments following the Charlottesville events - if he's not a racist, white nationalist himself, then he's just utterly craven and desperate to kowtow to those who are. And while his staff walked his initial comments back, and he read a more conciliatory statement (written by somebody else) off the teleprompter a couple of days later, he has subsequently re-iterated his stupid racist comments... not once, not twice, on at least three occasions.
It's hard to argue credibly that an ESPN reporter should be disciplined for speaking the plain truth...especially since her comments were not made on ESPN air, or on ESPN media, or on ESPN time.
Sadly, much that Trump does matters. He can start a war - in Korea, in Iran. He can get lots (as in tens of thousands to millions) of people killed. He could do this just to improve his public image (in his own twisted mind).
I can understand why people voted for this guy. They wanted change. But I cannot understand how anybody continues to support him, or refuses to acknowledge that electing him was a mistake. Are people really that ignorant?
