It didn't help that HRC was an unusually unattractive candidate, in almost every aspect.
And she, like Trump, valued loyalty over competence in her inner circle.
Tell me, how does Huma download e-mails to an account and computer that her weasel husband could access - it's not that expensive to buy a cheap laptop and separate internet account to keep such communications secure.
Tell me, how does a woman who had a nine figure net worth not hire a real IT firm to manage her private e-mail server and make sure it was secure?
Tell me, how does either campaign not implement measures to protect their information (Republicans were also hacked, but Russians had no reason to reveal anything damaging).
HRC was dumpy, shrill, without any guiding philosophy, felt the Presidency was an entitlement (for putting up with Bill), not a calling, had disdain for flyover country (ran back to NY where she could insulate herself from middle America). She lacked the iron will of Margaret Thatcher (which is why I don't buy the sexism argument, it was simply the WRONG woman), the charm of Ann Richards, etc.
Even Bill had his "Sister Solange" moment where he broke away from PC enough to create the impression he was his own man, and of course, he was from Arkansas and never tried to leave it behind (James Carville wouldn't let him).
Nor was HRC some great Secretary of State, better than Kerry, but that ain't saying much, a position she got due to politics, not competence.
I soured completely during the debates when it was obvious she didn't have a clue when it came to the basic economics of trade, this was someone who memorized her talking points and was lost when she had to think on her feet, a mediocre mind compared to either her husband or Obama.
Now how can you be Secretary of State and not do the hard work of learning the basics of international finance and economics.
One reason she lost a lot of the Obama vote wasn't just blacks staying home, can you think of any speech she ever gave that was inspiring?
And the Wall Street talks just demonstrated how politically tone deaf she was, in this day and age, as Romney discovered, there are no "private" speeches.
