Do we really think Bichette is gettable if the Phillies aren't willing to spend a bunch more (both on him and the new catcher, even without Bohm)? I think Bregman is a better player, but not for very long given the age difference.

I think this puts pressure on the Phils to sign Bichette in order for them to compete. But I honestly feel bad for the small market MLB teams and their fans.

I think the owners being willing to share revenue fairly (with each other and the players) is a much bigger problem. You can't have a cap without that. There's also a big difference between the fact that 15 teams can't compete and the fact that 14 other teams just aren't willing to spend like the Dodgers even though they have the $.
