Squibb single off the pitcher's glove. He had a pretty bad game at the plate, chasing a lot of low breaking pitches. He's going to have to stop doing that or he'll get himself out way too much.
Bergjans was a lot better than I thought he'd be (until the 6th inning)--threw 91/92 consistently with a good slider and change. I'd bet that his only chance of being in the big leagues, though, is if his stuff plays up in relief. Just not enough bat-missing pitches, and questionable command at this point.
Tocci was really overmatched by the breaking stuff. Chased it again and again.
Crawford had a couple of good at bats and, as usual, was extremely patient running deep counts, but nothing to show for it tonight.
Totally weird watching Vendette pitch, switching sides with each batter. His lefty stuff doesn't seem to be even A-ball quality, and a lefty offering was deposited for a 3-run, game deciding HR on his second pitch.
Cozens hit a double to the wall, and Mora got a double taken away by the scorer when Werth dropped his line-drive to the LCF wall when he ran into it. Cozens' swing looks really, really stiff, way worse than it looked in Reading last year.
Bad news--JoJo Romero pulled after 1 inning in CLW. Hope it was a rain delay--and it was, with 2 out in the bottom of the first.
