Is it just me or has Clearwater had a lot of rain this summer? Does this current rain have anything to do with Harvey?

Oh well, I suppose a large number of washouts might actually help the GCL Phillies by denying the GCL Blue Jays the opportunity to make up ground.

Yep, doubleheader just postponed, Pelletier loses a hit which raised his average to .341, Holmes lost a 2-2. Phils pick up at least a game in clinching scenario, depending on what Blue Jays do.

Worst case scenario [if Jays win]..3 game lead with 4 to play, two of them against the Jays. Magic number is two, basically one win against Jays wraps it up.

Where does Hall rank in your prospect lists off the top of your heads? I've got to think he'll be around 15 in mine, maybe higher.

Harvey still down in the Gulf and coming ashore again at the TX-LA line. Looks like it moves north this time and probably hits east Texas with rain as it moves toward Memphis.

I'm a little hesitant on Hall despite a great season at Lakewood, he wasn't a 14th rd pick by accident.
Though his start in Clearwater is pretty impressive, you want to see him handle better pitching.
HIs Lakewood performance wasn't a BABIP artifact (.303) and his RC+ has been impressive at Williamsport (165) and Lakewood (148).
The one warning sign has been BB% of 5.8 and 6.1, you'ld like to see him be a little more selective.

He just turned 22 in July, so he wasn't overage, but he needs to progress quickly to be a real prospect.
He's a big boy, 6'3 236, and LH at 1B.
Hoskins should keep his LF glove just in case!

Then it will slowly make its way northeastward before moving back out to sea somewhere over the Northeast this weekend. As a result, some of the final games for LHV, REA, LKW and possibly WPT may be in jeopardy of washouts.

Best righty in the draft [Howard] had an impressive night last night. Maybe there is something there? Nice to see. I would call it a season for him, big believer that you want your youngsters to end well if possible. All things being equal, confidence often separates the players who succeed from the ones who fail.
