I just caught up on some game video. Kyle Young was 87-92 mph with good sink and command (though more under 90 than over). Changeup was good, but it doesnāt look much different than his sinker- just slower. Curve was decent when he kept it down, slider didnāt have much shape or bite. If he did manage to throw any breaking balls for called strikes, they werenāt good quality pitches. It came to a point that the Marlins hitters each tried to bunt on him- luckily they were bad bunters. The one guy that got one down for a hit was picked off. Iāve seen Young before, but you canāt help but gawk- he looks like when the little rascals used to sit on someoneās shoulders and wear a trench coat to look like an adult. He is so incredibly long shoulders to hips. Doesnāt look like he has much strength in his chest though.
