June 2017 Minor League Transactions

The minor league teams as a whole have been outstanding, despite some individual disappointments.
Kingery should be the next promotion.
Tromp is holding his own at Reading.
Howard and Seabold are probably going to end up at Wiliamsport, not because they couldn't pitch at Lakewood, but that rotation is full right now.
Might promote one if they want to shutdown Sanchez later in the year.

Looks like Ranfi Casimiro has been promoted to Reading also. He's turning 25 next month so it's time to get moving with him, if they like him at all as a prospect. He was pretty good out of the Threshers pen.

Thrilled to see Will Hibbs get promoted! I know Matt Winkelman doesn't regard him as a prospect; however, Hibbs' having a fine season and the promotion seems well deserved.

There could be a little wave of starting pitching promotions in the next 1-2 weeks. I think there are some candidates worthy of consideration, as well as a need to fit some of the new draftees.

I also wonder what the plan is for Elniery Garcia, as he is nearing the end of his 80-game suspension. Reading has played 71 games now.

You presumably have reference to Crawford, Crawford, and Crawford.

Nope, they've been coming up to MLB, ready or not. Some have done remarkably well.

Not much of a logjam at Reading now. The promotions have really weakened the Phightins.

CF Adam Haseley re-assigned to.........Williamsport. Sigh.

That's what I expected, given the other OFs are Ortiz, Luis, Stephen, Alastre, Mtos and Listi (already being tried at 1B), Haseley won't block any serious prospect from PT.
Though in Lakewood, with Duran as the 3 OF, he'd be a good fit there as well.

Going to Wililamsport is the norm for college players who are serious prospects, and says nothing about the player's prospects - the draft year is the adjustment year from aluminum to wood bats (easier to jam hitters with wood bats, even though the aluminum bats are now "neutral" in terms of power). Next year he'll probably start at Lakewood, with a promotion in June if he tears it up there. That would put him in Reading in 2019 at 23 years old.
