It felt like we probably needed the first $100K-$200K to do a bunch of smaller signings after our name free agents and have been waiting for an opportunity for the rest of it. A little disturbing is that the Yankees I think traded for close to the maximum allocation but have also not gone too far over their $4.75 million base. This article references that these 8 teams have the most money available for Otani:

So we probably have just under a million available. But can trade for another $2.0 to $2.5 million in allocations. Note that 8 team list does not include teams in the penalty that can only offer $300K but may have millions unused.
