Though we had 'em all the way, it seems like there were about 25 times when we didn't have them all the way. A solid 9 on the tension meter.

Hoping somebody else eliminates the Brewers before the Phils have to play them again.

This game goes to DD. His three deadline additions have turned team into a WS contender. Adding Bader, Duran and Robertson really did the trick.

Phils have now played 23 series against over .500 teams, and are 14-8-1 (best in MLB).

It would be fun to play them in the NLCS but also fun to miss them Not sure the Cubs or Dodgers would be any easier tho (and the Mets certainly wouldn't). Will this be the year the Brewers actually win an NLDS round?

I had been skeptical but am starting to come around. Bader in particular has been a great addition. And adding Buehler and Mayza for just a few $$ is savvy as well.

I still don't know if Bader really puts them over the top, though he certainly does if he keeps hitting the way he has. And the current bullpen is going to win more games when they have trouble scoring, and the defense helps in those type of games too.

What's unexpected is that Kepler is also a key piece now. While it starts with Bader being handed the full-time job finally, Kepler is the one who actually platoons with Nick, and he's run with the role in August (.789 OPS) and September (.844 so far).
