That was a very impressive outing by Thompson.
Morgan had a great three innings, including a 2 seamer that just exploded, if he can master a 2 seamer to go with a 96-98 4 seamer and a killer slider, watch out, we may be looking at a future closer.
NIcasio has good stuff, hit 97-98, nice breaking ball. He's bounced between starting and relieving, but is a much better RP. However, given his size and SP experience, he's a potential workhorse out of the pen. I think resigning him should be a priority if he pitches like this all September. Neris, Garcia, Nicasio, Morgan, Milner, fill out the pen with Ramos, Rios, etc. That's nice depth. Allows you to live with young SPs who can give you 5-6 innings.
Boy, this was a bad lineup, no Altherr, Herrera, Hoskins, Florimon, Franco and Joseph just looking bad.
