I think the Mets will hang on, and we should help. I guess it would be funny to see them complete their collapse but I'm also not afraid of them being in the playoffs. It would be fun to play them, and hardly a bad thing if they took out the Dodgers. No right answer to that one either really. I guess the only right answer is we want the 1 seed for what it provides in the NLCS, and then we also face Padres or Cubs.

Besides the fact that any team can win on any given day, let alone the Dodgers, probably didn't help that it was the day before an off day for a team that's had a long stretch of days and travel and partying, they were ready to take a break I bet

I'm sure it was a factor. You can go an adrenaline for a while. Takes more than two days to get over jet lag too.

A line-up with Kemp and Wilson instead of Bohm and Turner, plus Stott (instead of Sosa) and Kepler (instead of one of the guys forced into the IF) against a LHP, is not exactly what you want either, even though they've been delivering in general lately. At least Nick actually did his job (1-3, 1 BB).

Luzardo still gave them every chance though I'm not sure the fact that he got Ohtani out three times was a reason to try for four, especially when they might see each other again.
