I did kind of feel like they feasted on weaker opposition in July, though I wasn't sure if the stats backed it up. (By the same token, feels like they played a really tough schedule in May). And then you put jetlag, a road trip and an interleague game together in Anaheim, followed by a tough team and 5280 feet above sea level now (and jet lag lingers for days too).
Benoit looks a little better in hindsight, no? But that's okay. I have no problem watching them lose games while the new relievers sort themselves out and make their case for staying on the 40. I think we can assume Klentak will sign a couple of vets again in the off-season,
