Back to reality after the thrill of yesterday’s win vs. Scherzer. Need to hope for Pivetta to have a good outing tomorrow as our lineup continues to struggle to score runs.

Full count, Hoskins called out on strikes on pitch that was outside the strike zone. Tough one to take but it was a ball by the defined strike zone. In fact, earlier in this at bat, the ump called a pitch in the strike zone a ball. I know it is not the easiest job calling balls and strikes.

Seemed like a game the Phillies were just not going to win tonight. Phillies put up 10 hits to 6 for the Blue Jays but a couple early home runs off Arrieta put this one in the lost column.

I think most people recognize that Hoskins is disciplined hitter who rarely chases bad pitches. I don’t have a problem with him slightly expanding his zone with two strikes. The other guys are a different story.

The killer tonight happened early when they sent Kingery with 1 out. We were hitting the ball well and up 1-0. That was a momentum change.

phils make another high era pitcher look like cy young again. last 3 starts era over 10? way too many times this year. it was fun while it lasted. please just don't into the tank. hang on for the rest of the year and let matt take care of the off season. i hope.
