The MLB version has the xpected and actual the exact same still. ESPN still has us down one vs expected.

I get why the Phillies would like to keep Romano around and not pay him to pitch somewhere else (because he would presumably exercise his free agency right if DFA'ed) but it is really hard to see him sticking around, or being fixable in AAA if he was willing.

Romano is clearly the last spot now that gets sacrificed if we want a spot starter. I'd put Lazar or Seth Johnson over him on a playoff roster if I had to choose. Or both of them without Alvarado. I think Romano has a couple more outings to show things are better and that might be it.

Yeah I forgot that the Wheeler injury changed the math, his roster spot is safe for now, and probably past 9/1 too when they can just bring Lazar back. And then if they need to DFA him he'd probably want to accept assignment to minors because he wouldn't be able to pitch for another team in the playoffs.

Lazar/Johnson or Romano probably still not needed in early playoff rounds anyway unless the presumed NLCS Game 4 starter simply isn't rostered. Walker and Ross should be plenty for the lower-leverage/long spots, unless Walker is starting. The problem with Romano is he pretty consistenty shows up for 3-4 games and then blows up.
