Rios had a nice 5 run lead and failed miserably. It's one thing to have batters get hits, but much worse when it's your own actions that dig you into a hole.
Sorry to see them have to use Dominguez tonight. He should not be used tomorrow.
Again, the offense did the job this game. Nine runs on 14 hits. Hoskins with the early 3 run home run and Ramos with 3 hits for the game. Hernandez, Hoskins, Williams, and Kingery all had 2 hits.
Eflin wins his 9th and is now 9-4, with 3.70 ERA. He continues to be solid in the rotation. SD earns save #14. Garcia and Arano pitched very well in relief. Rios failed miserably and put the game in jeopardy.
Phillies record now 67-54. They have now won more games than the did all of last season.
Braves lose their game and are now 68-52. Phillies trail the Braves by 1.5 games. The Nationals win to even their record at 61-61.
