I didn't mean to imply that he did have a bad April. I just really hate arguments based on a cherry-picked "he has done really well since June 17th or whatever". June 17th was obviously chosen by a writer with a purpose. You can bet the player in question had a good June 17th and a not so good June 16th. To me the months are less arbitrary, being division points defined long ago by Julius Caesar, who didn't care at all about Freddy Galvis' performance in 2017. Then again, good April, horrid May, then good again is an argument for simply looking at the entire year. Poor April and poor May then good until now would be a stronger argument for splitting at 1 June, since it suggests a performance change may be for a particular reason, like over an injury or changed hitting approach.
