True, but since we discussed Kepler's performance-to-date after his outbutst, his rWAR has dropped from +0.1 to -0,1, He's a left fielder with a slighly negative dWAR and an OPS+ of 85. Despite what he thinks of his performance, those aren't the stats of a starting LF. Realmuto has almost the same OPS+ as Kepler, but he's a catcher with a positive dWAR. His hitting is 27 OPS+ points below his average in Philly -- he's not the plus offensive player he was when younger. Still, his +.5 dWAR at a premium positon gives him a total rWAR of +0.8 on the season. Not bad, but he's fading: that a rate that will leave him at half the rWAR he earned in the last two seasons.
Realmuto plays as much as he does, because management has confidence in his handling of the pitching staff. It doesn't hurt JT's playing time that Marchan, in very SSS and probably playing far too little, is below the Mendoza line with an OPS+ of only 61 -- just barely better than Rojas.
