There’s been some rumors of racism where Hispanic guys get called out by Snitker and others don’t. If true, that’s an ugly one to handle for management.

That’s an easy one to handle, for the GM, if the rumors are true. “You’re fired. Get out.” Followed by a public statement to the effect that “Mr. Snitker will be pursuing other opportunities.” Period. No further public comment. No letters of recommendation. Total radio silence, as it were.

Snitker’s contract runs through the end of this season. I’d just pay him.

Where/what are these rumors though? Acuna was upset on social media a few months ago about the fact that Snitker didn't bench Kelenic for not running out a ground ball the way he got benched.... in 2019. That is not an isolated incident of racism per se, that is a cultural blind spot that remains in force throughout MLB (regarding how to admire your HRs and run the bases on them too), though it's gotten better.

If there was anything else and I'm off base here, I haven't seen it.

At the rate the Braves are going this is probably Snitker's last season anyway; they are saying he will probably retire, and if he doesn't want to (and the Braves don't do better) he'll be replaced.
