Very good pitching tonight with the combined shutout. Great to win a 1-0 game. Nola with a solid six and three relievers (Banks, Alvarado, Keller) looking better than they have of late. Harper with three hits wins it on the homer.

Considering how many annoying series Phillies have had down there, I'll take a frustrating 1-0 win and 3 of 4 over many other possible outcomes.

Yesterday's game was one of those take the bad with the good games. Bad the offense was so bad, yet again. Good that Nola and the beleaguered bullpen were on, that our run differential is close to no longer being the worst in baseball (-42 for us -41 for the Orioles) and that we took three out of four and have now won 7 of 9, although it was May the Fourth be With You Day not Star Trek Day.

Wonder what was so different that everything worked yesterday that didn't work previous games? Maybe Nola does too.

Many will be anxious to see what he can do next game. Everybody knows he can pitch this way once in a while - earned him one of those Casty/Walker contracts.
