The Phillies had a thirteen game stretch against arguably the two best teams in baseball so far--the Cubs and Braves--and went 2-11. Now, they've completed a thirteen game stretch against easier competition--the Giants, Marlins, Athletics and Rockies--and put up an almost opposite 10-3 record. Only three games under .500 but are run differential is still -32, one of the worst in baseball though one can argue that is because we've had a large number of blowout losses. But, recordwise, they've made up a lot of the ground they lost. Our next four series (twelve games) are against the Red Sox, Pirates, Reds (22-19 but -33 RD) and Guardians. Who would have thought the Pirates would probably be the toughest opponent of that stretch?
