Great series sweep for the Phillies as they return to .500 going into the Marlin series.
Another game won after trailing in the seventh inning.
Eflin cements himself in the starting rotation with another very solid start. Only 3 hits and no walks. Only run the lead off homer in the 7th and he came right back to retire the side to complete seven innings. If all the starters were going 7 in most games, the pressure on the bullpen would be greatly reduced. I was impressed with Rodriguez today coming in to relieve Neshek in the 8th, although I also thought Neshek looked good in spite of giving up a single up the middle to start the inning.
Not much to say about Neris except it was not a pretty ninth. Still, after setting up disaster, he settled down and got the outs needed to nail down a win.
