IMHO, just the way they planned it, no matter Nola strikes out 6. Phils' plans are set in stone. BUT, Nola looked like he was ready and here's hoping he gets permission to win a game for us next outing. Nola can be really good. Seems like he was pulled early, but the results speak for themselves.
One nouncer was saying the Phils hitters were rusty the first two games from lack of real competition while enjoying the first round bye. Said that real competition can't be duplicated in practice and they looked like a different team yesterday. Added that the Phils were too anxious and fouled off too many hittable pitches the first two games, which they did not yesterday. Someday soon there may be data to prove this but it's credible now. Will be more credible if the Phils hit again today.
