I'm a huge draftnik and pretty much agree with the sentiments of xogfoc, phillychuck and squire. I'm not a fan of trading down (still haunted by the Marcus Smith debacle) and there are 5 players I'd have a hard time passing on if available at 14: LB Foster, CB Humphrey, TE Howard, WR Davis, DE Barnett. I know CB is a huge need, but they should be able to pick from a few in the 2nd and 3rd, including injured CBs like C. Jones and F. Moreau.
All in all, Foster is my favorite and seems like a Trotter clone who could bring nastiness to the middle. He's short but hits like a tank and even exhibits Trotter's over aggressiveness at times. But he's young and hopefully coachable. Passing on TE Howard could be a huge mistake if a CB need like Conley gets the nod. I like Ertz but most scouts seem to agree Howard will be a longtime stud.
And I'm curious to see how the 2 new personnel guys from Balt/Chicago draft from top to bottom. Each pick is important, and past Eagle regimes rarely maximized the opps and struck gold.
