Looks like the Colts tried to sign QB Nate Sudfeild off the Eagles practice squad, so the Eagles moved him to the 53 man roster and dropped DT Justin Hamilton off the roster.
heading down to the game today. a little dreary and i hope that isn't the way the game goes. PSU now 7-2. Eagles also? they haven't really had a clunker yet. the broncos have a good defense.are the eagles looking ahead to the bye week. i think the eagles might take it on the chin today. i haven't ever really been wrong on much. Well, i did predict the Phils to win the world series this year. Don't hold that against me. i will put in a good word to Troutie though, when i see him.gm
I agree this could be a tough game. I still wonder whether the Eagles shouldn't just sit Ertz and let his hamstring fully recover with the bye week coming up.
They are. Ertz is inactive for today's game.
This is a really tough game without Ertz. Denver's biggest defensive weakness is they have trouble covering the TE. Hope Celek has a big game left in him.
The inactives are:
Eagles - Ertz, Darby, Sudfeld, Hart, Means, Qualls, Gibson
Broncos - Lynch, Henderson, Doss, Davis Walker, Stephenson, Taylor
Yes, it makes a tough game tougher, but out of conference and we can afford a loss. Better to come back as healthy as possible from the bye week. Yes, need a lot out of Celek. I'd say time for Burton to really show what he is capable of doing. On the plus side, Celek and Burton block better than Ertz and that may be very important.
Wow, Philadelphia is gonna be nuts for the rest of year.
Agreed. Not over until it's over, but Eagles up 24-9 in the 2nd quarter. That's w/o Ertz and Ajayi playing in limited sets.
And then Ajayi is playing more and literally running away.
51-23 final. Eagles scored 44 points in 20 minutes. Last Denver TD was a Foles fumble/return on a whiffed block by Semualu. As long as we didn't suffer any serious injuries it was almost a perfect week.
Miller was pretty offsides on that Denver strip sack, and on the play before it and one after that when they finally flagged him.
i told you so. i knew the birds would win in a blowout. Great day at the Linc. Rain never showed up and we sat in the sun. beautiful day. i've never been involved in that many "Fly Eagles Fly" songs in one game ever. and you are right Eastie. miller jumped the snap a number of times. was called for offsides twice i think. it wasn't Semualu's fault. the line played very well today. onto the bye and then to Dallas. let the dallas running back play. it doesn't matter.gm
Dallas will be a very tough team to beat. The three teams coming up that scare me are Dallas, LA, and Seattle.
Can't ask for a better schedule though. Bye week before going to Arlington, and they won't be jet-lagged for the Rams game (even if it's probably not fun to be on the road for an entire week). Plus a good chance of missing Elliott at least once. If they can beat the Rams and the Cowboy at home they should win 13 games even if they drop these next two tough Sunday night road games (but ideally they beat the Cowboys, and the Redskins beat Seattle yesterday).
Well, Elliott's suspension is back on as of now (who knows, it changes seemingly every day), so as of right now, he will miss the Eagles game on Nov 19, and would be back for the week 17 game vs. the Eagles.
In other news, the Eagles signed Timmy Jernigan to a 4 year extension (4 yrs 48 mil, 26 mil guaranteed). Nice move, him and Cox will hopefully wreak havoc on centers and guards for years to come.
great move to resign Jernigan. he has made cox even better. those 2 are great together. good thinking.gm
I'm happy for you Eagles fans this year. I didn't expect they'd post this kind of performance thus far. Myself, I'm a Steelers fan, but glad to see the Eagles have come on strong in the NFC.
Could be an all-PA Super Bowl if things break right. Wouldn't that be interesting?
Not sure I'm on board with the Jernigan extension. Sure he has had some splash plays but has been the invisible man more often than not. A lot of cash to throw out by an already cash strapped team.Better served extending Jeffrey or Bradham as I think they are more valuable.
