Skinner also was a good outfielder and hitter. Played LF on the Bucs team that won the WS over the Yankees with the Mazeroski Miracle home run.

Jazz great Sonny Rollins
Never played a single game in the minor leagues. Went straight from being drafted to the Braves. I can't help but think that the then-Braves owner, the flamboyant recently-departed Ted Turner had something to do with that. He did play in Japan for a year in 1987 when, despite having a good season in 1986, went unsigned as a FA when collusion was in full swing.
I did not realize he was so young when he retired. I think he had some injuries, but there was probably no reason he would not have played a few more years today especially at DH.
Claude Lemieux - 60 years old

damn, very young (and also can't believe he was that old)
I actually thought he was a little older. His son Brendan played briefly for the Flyers
I just think of him more on the '95 Devils and '96 Avs than the Habs, overlapping with Lindros (as a rival) and Forsberg (as a teammate). But of course he had seven or eight years on those guys.
Apparently it was suicide unfortunately.
