I don't see the Phillies winning 96 again. I love Sanchez, but it's a lot to ask for him to have another 8 WAR season. Wheeler is still a question mark, and it's likely Painter will not immediately do what Ranger did. The offense is really the same as last year but a year older, not a good thing for most of them. I don't see Kyle blasting another 56. A lot depends on improvement from Harper, Bohm, and Stott, which I have some optimism about. I think JT will continue to decline. I have hopes for Crawford, but maybe not immediately (though he'll be better than Kepler for sure). Garcia is an improvement over Castellanos, if only because he will catch the ball more often.
I still think the Phils are favorites to win the division. I'm sold on neither the Braves or Mets, neither of whom is particularly young. The Braves lost all their Spencers, and their rotation is mediocre after Sale, who's older than everyone on the Phillies (and so is their close). Olson is still very good, and the Braves might compete until Acuna gets hurt again. The Mets' offence added over 10 WAR--but lost 9 among McNeil, Nimmo, Alonso, and Marte (plus they made Baty, a good defender, a DH). Peralta is coming off a career year and probably will regress a bit. The rest of the rotation is 1-2 WAR guys though McLean has potential. I guess they didn't notice that Devin Williams has had only one 20 save season in his career, compared to seven for Edwin Diaz. (And Devin was pretty bad last year.)
