Well, when you put it that way it really does come back to the larger question of what the Sixers are trying to do over the next 2-3 years. If the two biggest problems with this year's team are actually unfixable next year it may not matter whether they have the pick this year or next year for the long-term value. But if they are hoping/trying to win next year with some combination of the current group, whatever moves Morey can make, and a big contribution from the pick, obviously you want this pick (and want it more than the 10th or 18th pick in 2026 too).
BPA philosophy aside, doesn't the presence of Maxey and McCain suggest staying away from certain similar guards?
