I think the other teams know we want to trade Neshek, Hellickson, Kendrick beyond that I guess they don't know what Klentak wants to do, although he likely has feelers around the league concerning the guys he wants to trade, so if Cesar Hernandez, for example, is on the block, the other GMs know it. Klentak brushed off Eskin, as he has to do to avoid embarrassing players he fails to trade, but largely the secrecy is to keep the fans from knowing who's on the block. It's like when Nixon bombed Cambodia and Laos and it was Top Secret. Not for security reasons -- the Viet Cong knew, the S. Vietnam and N. Vietnam governments knew, the Laotians and Cambodians certainly knew, although perhaps they wanted to pretend it wasn't happening. The goal of the Top Secret was to protect the administration from objections by the public, press, and political opponents.
