Agree with Allentown, why mess with a good thing until some prospects are in Lehigh and pushing for PT?
We have 5 players for four spots, insurance against injury and good LH/RH combos.
Really the only "hole" in this lineup is 3B right now, maybe catcher if Alfaro doesn't take the job or Knapp remains a backup talent.
We need SP, but we could audition our young pitchers, see what we have, and hopefully the talent in the system progresses enough to deal for a SP next winter if needed. We have the depth that it shouldn't be hard to fill out the back of a rotation (Eickhoff, Lively, Thompson et al), the question is whether Pivetta, Velasquez or Eflin will take that step up or if Sanchez, Kilome, Medina will make a big jump.
If some prospects progress this year, we could be in good shape for a quantity for quality trade next winter, say a back of the rotation starter, a young RP prospect and an OF prospect for a 26-28 year old #2 SP.
