Unsung hero in winter baseball: Ulises Joaquin
17.1 IP, 15 H, 1.56 ERA, 7 BB, 24 K in the Dominican.
Joaquin really looks like a guy who could come up at some point in 2017. He lost a full year to TJ surgery back in 2013 and then had some uneven years in his recovery. Last year he dominated in Clearwater and finished in Reading. In winter ball (the Dominican is the toughest league) he has upped his K rate. I could easily see him do what Edubray Ramos did last year provided he is healthy and his velocity is touching the mid 90s like it has in the past. Not a top prospect by any stretch but one who could move quickly.
