Drabek now sitting at 89-91 on his fastball. Threw a 59mph curve and some changeups. Got two quick outs before Mayberry reached on a throwing error. Wilson Valdez singled to RF. Ruiz grounded out to SS to end the inning.

Cole looks outstanding. Another 1-2-3 inning. Two grounders to 3rd and 3-1 to end the inning. Threw a lot of effective cutters and had good life on his fastball.

3.0ip 0h 0r 0er 0bb 2k and made it look easy.

Hamels out to pitch the 4th after a long half inning for the Phils offense. Gives up a solo homer to Jose Bautista on the first pitch. He got two outs but was pulled after his 2nd walk of the inning. Ryan Vogelsong on in relief.

Final line for Hamels: 3.2ip 1h 1r 1er 2bb 3k

1-1 after 4

Ok, maybe he should not have come back out for the 4th, but that performance by Cole today was very, very encouraging.

JC Ramirez strikes out Josh McDonald on three pitches. Hitting 93mph on his fastball. Good breaking ball on strikeout pitch.

Really good breaking ball and 92-93 on fastball. K, single to RF, K, 4-3.

Is it my imagination or has Mayberry Jr. been hitting nothing but line drives all spring? I wonder if our Manager's hitting expertise has "sunk in". He could be a very valuable chess piece!

Ok to say this now, in ST, as long as we're not saying this in June, July, or even April. If we are, then we're in trouble.

Ramirez's 2nd inning: single to LF, pop up to 3rd, fly out to shallow CF, K on breaking ball in the dirt.
