This is a much better team than anything they've fielded the last three years, as long as Embiid's foot holds up, which it should, they've been very conservative and other players have come back from this injury and had long careers.
Embiid is a monster, pure and simple, he's huge and a great athlete, and he can shoot out to the 3 point line. Just really raw right now.
Saric is as advertised, he's just a solid player, not a great athlete, but very polished for his age, like a lot of European players.
Holmes is significantly improved, he's working on boxing out and rebounding, has shot much better, still a work in progress but a solid reserve.
Grant has also improved, he's still a role player, but no longer dysfunctional offensively, still has to shoot more consistently.
Sergio is as advertised, very slick PG who's limited athletically and will struggle on defense, but a step up from Ish.
TJ has picked up where he left off in the summer, getting more confident in his shot, tenacious defender who just lacks the quicks to be elite.
RoCo is going to get more open looks this year, which will raise his 3 point %, he rarely got an open shot last year.
Henderson is what he is, a role player, primarily defense off the bench
Add in Noel, Jah, Simmons, Bayless, and guys like Nick and Thompson are pushed to the back of the bench or off the team, following Wroten, Marshall, et al.
This isn't going to be a great team this year, but they're very young, talented and athletic, and the arrow is pointing up.
