It's natural to get a little greedy once you win the first two, and it sure would have been nice to win again last night in DC...but as the philosopher Meat Loaf said, two outta three ain't bad.
One more week in the gauntlet....three vs. the Yanks and four vs. Nats. Will likely face Severino and Scherzer (quite possibly, the two ASG starters) along the way.
Now, if the Phils survive this week (no 0-7 or 1-6 catastrophes), it is incumbent on Klentak in my opinion to give this team a chance to contend for the playoffs. Priorities can change, but right now I think the bench and the bullpen need boosting. Yes, there are injuries in play here...but, for example, you've got to do better than Mitch Walding right now. He's not accustomed to the role and clearly it has not suited him. Hard to find as it may be, a LH reliever who warrants the manager's full trust would also be nice to have around here. I'm a bit concerned about wearing out Seranthony before September (& hopefully October) rolls around.
