With young pitchers you shouldn't get too hung up on statistics, they work better for hitters, but even then an adjustment can change things quickly (see Altherr, on the other hand, see Cozens).
Eflin is simply an unknown, after knee surgery he reported added 20 lbs, much to his lower body. That requires getting used to new mechanics because he has to learn how to generate power from his lower body. To me, the jury is out this year, see how he progresses.
Thompson has altered his pitching mechanics, his velocity is up to 92-93, and he has good secondary pitches. But getting used to a new motion takes time, again, no reason to be hasty.
Tavares is older and similar to Eshelman. Not as strong as Lively. Irvin is probably a LH version if he doesn't up his velocity. Not that they can't be effective, Eickhoff certainly was in 2016, but the odds are longer.
