This is the sort of thing I'm talking about. They did not replace Benny Looper last season (he was and is still being paid as a special adviser for International). Now Klentak has his own guy, as well as the new coordinator hire. I just don't think he was that interested in making dramatic moves based on the previous regime. Perhaps that is a poor decision, given the pool. But it's hard to know. Also,the Phillies probably missed out on a bunch of players before Klentak got there, if what everybody says about their agents making informal deals well in advance is true.
