I hate baseball fans sometimes. They can be very whiny, even though it’s a 162 game season, and good teams only some times win 100, which means they will lose more than one out of three games. And good hitters get an out at least six out of every ten at bats, and they can blow hot and gold, because it’s difficult to keep your mechanics. And good pitchers will give up a run every three innings.
I also hate when ignorant fans not only don’t understand this, they don’t understand salary caps and want proven over the hill players. And I someone call WIP and say we should trade Suarez. Due, he’s a free agent at the end of the year. He’s of no value to a losing team, we need him to win ourselves and only a winning team would want him to win this year, so they wouldn’t trade anyone who is going to help them this year.
And mostly I hate fans who think a season was worthless if we didn’t win the championship. Don’t you enjoy the season and the fun when you win, The journey is as important as the destination. My most memorable and favorite season was 1993. We lost, I still remember willing that Joe Carter home run to go foul. Heartbreaking, but that year I lived and celebrated and cried. That is what being a fan is all about.
