Nice win. Marsh is on fire. Sanchez didn’t have his best changeup but still battled and only gave up one in 6. A sign of a true ace.

Great start to this series in Arlington. Good start from Sanchez, three scoreless innings from the pen, Duran saved for the next two games. All good.

Lazar did make some fine pitches that looked to touch the strike zone but were called balls. Even with the walk, he got the job done. A scoreless bottom of the ninth.

Don't overlook Turner tonight. 2 for 4 with 2 walks and 5 RBIs. A very nice night for our leadoff hitter. A fine game for Marsh and a nice double from Stott in the ninth to really put things away.

MY question on the deadline deals: why did we trade anything for Bader, if we aren't going to play him? He is probably our best defensive OF. His splits are .789 OPS against RHP and .719 against LHP. Kepler has .685 OPS against RHP and .564 against LHP. Bader has 2.7 rWAR on the season; Bader has -0.6 rWAR. Bader was supposed to be the salvation of our OF. Hard to do that sitting on the bench. Did I miss an injury?

Marsh really tearing it up of late -- -.912 OPS since AS break.. Only Harper and Schwarber lead him in OPS, although both lead him by a lot and Turner just behind him.

My take on the outfield is to start Bader and Marsh against all pitchers, left and right-handed. Give them several weeks of starts and then reevaluate if one or both struggle.

I am sorry Kepler has failed to perform satisfactorily, but he has. A .201 batting average is just one indication of his underperformance. I am sure he want to play every game, but if he is upset at anyone but himself when benched, then that is just another indication of why he should be benched.
