Phillies go in order in the bottom of the ninth.
Brewers 9-13-2
Phillies 8-13-2
Hellickson falls way below the mediocre quality start definition with 5 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 HR.
Bullpen also bad. Morgan gives up 2 earned runs in 2 innings, 3 hits, 2 walks, a home run. Milner gives them a scoreless 8th, but Neris gives up the run on 3 hits (double, single, single) in the ninth. This L clearly hung on the pitching.
Odubel with the big night going 4 for 4 with two doubles and a home run. Hernandez and Rupp both with 3 run homers, but after they tied the game in the 8th, they had Hernandez bunting with a runner on first and no outs. Probably a reasonable call, but it ended up as a pop bunt double play that ended the Phillies offense for rest of the game.
A tough game to lose after coming back from 7 runs down. Hard to see 3 run home runs in both the 7th and 8th innings go to waste.
