But such is the nature of a pitcher's duel, you need the tiniest advantage to win one. At the top of the game the announcers said that difference might be defense, but two outs on the base paths (one of them perfectly acceptable) might have been as well.
Pulling Hoskins was probably the right move there, he does not necessarily score on a single, especially on Soto, and maybe Jankowski does. But...
Certainly there is no evidence that this coaching staff has its act together, nor have we really added that much talent (especially considering our GM was already part of the front office/coaching interface the previous three years). And wasn't Dickerson the IF coach prior to Castro? I certainly don't think anything is Castro's fault but he hasn't helped. Ditto the base/base running coaches.
