Well, the answer to the leadoff part is there's barely anyone better (when they've been given the chance) but also before today he still had a 110 OPS+ (and disappointing but still not epically bad .727 OPS). Both better than Hoskins and JT (as well as Didi and Camargo).

Ump called that one a strike but in fact, it was a ball. Perhaps things do even out, but the ump owes us a couple more.
That is all for Familia. Hope Knebel is on today and up to the 4 out save.

A series win!
Nice win to take 2 of 3 and win a series on the road. Need more series wins.
Offense came down to one at bat and Rhys came through. Those four runs were enough as Falter and the pen got the job done. Knebel with the 4 out save. Well done.
Let's hope they can somehow win a couple games in LA.
Good to steal one given the state of the rotation.
And the 14-17 Phillies actually have a 17-14 X W-L! (Seems like in past years they have always been the other way around, with a slightly negative fun diff).
Looking good, heading to LA. Let us hope for good things there.
Falter must be deceptive, b/c he was throwing 90-91, t92.
Similar to Suarez but a couple MPH less on the FB, maybe he'll add that the next year or two, though at 25 there's not that much more to be expected.
Falter’s fastball plays up because of the extension he gets:
Last year, none of his secondary pitches were MLB-quality, hopefully he’s made some improvements there.
Of course, there are those who would argue the fun differential has been more than slightly negative.
