Gonzalez made a good play and Rupp is really slow, and it was still close enough that Phils thought about challenging.
Rupp does help make that play possible.

He seems to be laboring. Too many hits and walks. Dodgers took a 3-2 lead by scoring a run in the 5th (walk, single, sac fly). He gets first two outs in sixth, but then another hit. So far he has given up 9 hits and walked 3 in five and 2/3 innings. Also has a pair of wild pitches. Garcia in to try to salvage the sixth inning without giving up more runs after a walk puts runners first and second with two outs.
Garcia faces Turner and works a full count before giving up a double to plate two more runs. Now 5-2 Dodgers.
Garcia did have fastballs clocked by Gameday at 99 and 100 mph in the at bat. Double was on 86 mph changeup.
Maeda's ERA won't be 8.05 after tonight.
