I believe Herrera walked to start that inning. A good at bat for him.

Nola didn't pitch badly today, although 90 pitches for 5 innings is not efficient.

Nola pitched well but we need him to go at least 6 and preferably 7 innings. Gave up six hits in the five innings but no walks, while striking out six. I think he will be able to go seven innings most starts soon.

After seeing Ramos get an out, my MLB froze again.

I missed a walk and a passed ball putting a runner on second with one out.

He got Eaton on strikes but Rendon doubles off right center wall.

This was obvious the moment Gomez came out for the 10th. Sending him out to face the middle of the lineup (left handed) is ridiculous.

It is time to serious start considering firing MacKinnan. He doesn't seem to be able to understand when a guy is just cold. He is in the process of destroying Gomez 's confidence.

It is one thing to think we are not going to contend, but to make moves that anyone knows will result in a loss makes it clear to me that the manager cannot do this at a ML level

Just got back and reviewed what happened in the tenth. Can't say I was surprised.

I'm down on Mac as well but can't say what he should have done. With extra innings, he needed multiple innings from someone. I was thinking maybe 2 innings for Neris but Gomez still likely out there for the tenth. The obvious choice would have been to use a LH reliever to face Harper and Murphy, but the only one they have had not been doing well.

I forgot about Garcia. He should have pitched instead of Gomez. No telling if he would have been better or not, but Gomez has been so bad that giving up a run lowered his ERA today. Coupled with his last six weeks last year, Gomez is making a case for being DFA'd.

They really need another lefty in the pen.

Now 3-7 with 4 game losing streak.
