He was pretty good as a rookie, but has had knee issues the last several seasons and not played very much.He came back in 2023, but was inconsistent and thus the Jets moved on.

So whether he comes to Philly and if he is able to succeed all depend upon the quality of the physical exam. Hope our team doctor is up to the task. Also hope the GM hasn't hinted strongly that he wants a passing physical.

Yes. He's 25 and signed a 1 year deal to hopefully not play this season.

On the bright side, at least the Eagles took Reagor and didn't trade up for him.

It’s hard to look good on the Jets

I can't help but think of that old line from Barney Miller:

Nick: Yeah, that's when people run around doing whatever they wanna do...like the Jets.

Agreed, but he'll also have better coaching and QB play here. The Jets are a mess. It is harder to block consistently for an erratic QB operating in a limited offensive scheme with mediocre coaches.

The good news is he stayed healthy last season, playing 16 games. If Stoutland can help him improve and Hurts be the offensive leader he has never had before, I think he has a chance to be a good swing tackle here.

In 2 years when he demands a trade he might set the all time record for dead cap space for a non-QB. Is there any chance he realizes that the Vikings, by signing this deal, eliminate ANY chance of the team getting any better for years. He is going to get alot of money, I am guessing a ring means almost nothing to him or he would have gone the FA direction instead.

The Eagles are going to try moving Bradberry to safety, I think that might be a good way to get value from him this year, that would leave Slay and Mitchell as the outside CB with Ringo in the rotation. DeJean as slot CB/S hybrid, CJGC and Blankenship as your safeties with Brown probably joining them mid-season after a stint on the IL.

Saw this in an article about the Kirk cousins tampering penalty for the Atlanta Falcons.

In a separate investigation, the league determined that the Philadelphia Eagles did not tamper with free-agent RB Saquon Barkley.

Well that's good news. I really thought there was going to be a token penalty and the Eagles wouldn't care but James Franklin's explanation was plausible (and there was probably no proof otherwise).
