Yes, he's the only Deron. He was a very good offensive player but not so much on defense.

Thanks guys. I have never seen this before on any site and it is enjoyable to see and it brings back memories.
Was Tony Taylor a coach? The uniform he wore in his playing days was not the kind he has on in the photo.
Yes, Taylor was a coach from 1977-79 and again in 1988 and 89.
I can't remember the circumstances of why, but I kind of remember thinking that Taylor got screwed when the Phillies dropped him from the coaching staff after '89. Same when Dave Cash was let go in the mid-Nineties. I also recall Mel Roberts leaving the organization unhappy after he was let go. First base coaches are usually fairly inconsequential and usually only get changed when the manager gets changed.
Thanks phillychuck.
I miss the stirrups.
Me too. Bigly.
Hopefully our slugging 3B for a while, Maikel Franco
2008 WS winning 3B, Pedro Feliz

When it Truck Day?
Truck Day is tomorrow, Wednesday. The press release came out yesterday...I haven't gotten around to posting it...
6 Days, less than a week to go!
Ryan Howard (Thanks for all the memories big fella)
Doug Glanville
Wally Backman (one of several 86 Mets the Phillies had along with Dykstra, McDowell, Elster and Fernandez)
Bo Diaz
Keith Moreland
Ted Sizemore
Johnny Oates
Johnny Callison
Willie Jones
Saw the release post and it got me thinking that, as much money as the Phillies and MLB make these days, you would think they could just keep a second set of most things in Clearwater
I thought Taylor also came back to the Phillies as a player at the end of his career, when the Phillies wore those uniforms.
Happy Truck Day.
Well, I was thinking a lot of these things must be new. Like jerseys, balls, etc.....why not just have it shipped to Clearwater initially?
Given the number of players already doing BP and long tossing, there has to be quite a lot of equipment already down there. I doubt they want the hitters taking BP with generic bats or fielding with generic gloves.
