2026 Schedule Released

Next season's schedule is out. Very early start--3/26 Opening Day at CBP vs. the Rangers. An odd quirk is that the Phillies actually have a couple of Fridays off, including one in which they play the Mets on Thursday and then resume on Saturday and Sunday. A few more Thursday games at home but still a lot of Thursday travel days meaning that Wednesday BPS's will not be uncommon. I HATE Wednesday BPS's. Thursdays are so more palatable as the weekend is beckoning and the afternoon off from work works out much better than.

I'm hoping to do a road trip this year. I haven't even been to LA or SF since 2010 despite living out West. Last went to Wrigley for Cole's no-hitter. Have never been to Pittsburgh nor seen the Phillies in Baltimore (though I've been to games there) so those seem like good modest goals.

They're coming to Boston early this year (May). The last time I went to a game in May it was pretty cold, and these are likely to be night games (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday). Maybe Thursday will be a getaway day game.

I've seen games in every NL city except Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and San Diego. After going to a game in KC last week, I've been to a game in every AL city (except Sacramento). I've been to 19 former stadiums (plus an Astrodome tour) and seen ML games in two cities that no longer have teams. It's been nice to have a job with a lot of US travel (and to have been alive for a while).

I will be in Philly the last weekend of the 2026 season for my 50th high school reunion; depending on the schedule, I might be able to go to a game that weekend. I really want to go to the All-Star Game.
